Michael J.

Photographer based in Pittsburgh, PA

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've always had a love for the arts, even at a very young age. I developed a love for photography at the age of 15 after learning its history and ultimately realizing how challenging and rewarding the results of a developing a photograph could be.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

When I was 15 years old I learned the very basics of photography through the pinhole camera technique and developing the photos in a dark room. That process gave me a new appreciation for photography because it shows how the evolution of capturing a photo has come a long way. My training of photography comes from going through the "evolutionary" steps of first capturing a photo from a pinhole camera (as well as developing the images in a dark room) all the way to digital photography.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a variety of customers: Young and elderly. Married. Engaged to be married. Families. Dancers. Graduates. Models. Pets. Children. They were all wonderful experiences in their own unique way.
